Welcome
“For who is greater, the one who is at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who is at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.”

Lifeblood update
Give blood with some help from Olympian and plasma recipient, Michael Klim!
When Olympic gold medallist and world champion Michael Klim was first diagnosed with a rare auto-immune disease in 2020, one thing helped him fight back – plasma. Today, he is an inspiration to so many, and he wanted to share a few words about the impact that donors from St Nick’s North Goulburn Lifeblood Team have made for recipients like him.
Watch it here and share it, because anyone could need this powerful donation, even an Olympian.
Operation Christmas Child
OCC will be launched in September, but now is the time to start planning. Keep a look out for specials, knit teddy bears or make simple clothes or shoulder bags.
The Youth Group and Kids Church children will be packing boxes. You can donate towards the cost of filling the boxes and delivery costs. Donations can be given to Christine Bernays or placed in the offertory in an envelope marked for her attention. It is possible that soap may not be allowed this year. Further advice will be given later.
Christian SRE Update
We're now more than half way through Term 3, and are progressing through our lessons.
At this point of the year we’ve established routines with our classes, and as the students feel more comfortable with us, we often get more interaction and great questions that show curiosity and openness to the Bible and Christian faith. Engaging with interested students is a real joy, and we are aided by great resources.
Here are some praise points:
Thank God that we can open the Bible in weekly school lessons in NSW
Thank God for the students, for their curiosity and their questions
Thank God for the teachers who volunteer, and committee members who support
Pray for new teachers, for church partnerships and for further financial support.
We are very grateful for your support of Christian SRE in Goulburn. Thank you!

Women Serving Christ Conference
We had our third annual WSC conference which was a real joy. There were around 150 women and Lindi spoke so faithfully from 1 Peter on Suffering. We also had some interesting elective topics including one I did on Wrestling with God Through Disappointment. It was a really amazing one to prepare and I had grown a lot personally. It was great to chat to women about disappointments they face and what it means to trust and follow God even when struggling.
It was wonderful seeing all the female staff using their gifts: admin, hospitality, teaching, organisation, and pastoral care to make the day a success! I work with some wonderful women!
Alchemy choir
Recently the Alchemy Choir performed at St Nick’s. Alchemy choir is an inclusive choir for people impacted by Dementia. This was a combined concert, showcasing a variety of songs and performances for the public to enjoy.

Lifeblood
St Nicholas’ Anglican Church has joined Lifeblood, which is the Australian Red Cross Blood Services group donation program to help secure 25% of the country’s blood donations. Did you known that it takes one blood donation every eight seconds to meet the ongoing needs of patients across Australia? Please consider donating blood for the good of others. Our Lifeblood group is called “St Nicks North Goulburn”. If you have already donated, you can join the group online.
