Country KYCK Bonus.
Back in 2019!
At the last few KYCKs we raised money to help subsidise some of our KYCK friends. In 2014, the Country KYCK Bonus was introduced for the first time and since then we've had over 400 youth come from the country - that's just amazing! If your youth group travels from the ‘country’, we understand how much harder it is for you to come to KYCK. We want to make it a little easier by giving you a little boost!
We're excited to say that the KYCK Country Bonus will be BACK IN 2019!
What's the bonus?
BONUS #1: $20 off per ticket if it's your group/church's first time at KYCK.
BONUS #2: $10 off per ticket if your group/church has been to KYCK before.
How do I get the KYCK Country Bonus?
STEP 1: If you think you are eligible to get this bonus, get your group leader to fill out the application form.
STEP 2: If you are eligible, you will receive an email with a discount code you can use online.
Well it is! But there are some conditions...
KYCK Country Bonus Terms and Conditions
Funds for this Bonus are limited, so it's a first in, best dressed policy!
Apply for the Country KYCK Bonus BEFORE you purchase your tickets.
The Bonus will only be applied to the registration if the group leader pays for all the tickets.
Not all groups who apply will receive the Bonus. You will receive an email from KCC within one week after your application regarding whether or not you are eligible.
The discount code/s cannot be used by other groups or transferred to those who have not applied for the bonus.
A "new group" means that they have NOT attended KYCK in the past.
A "group" can be a youth group or school group.
Who should attend KYCK?
KYCK is for people of high school age. We encourage youth groups to attend, along with their leaders.
Every group must have at least one person who is over the age of 18 who will be supervising the group - unfortunately single registrations are not permitted.
What if I'm not part of a youth group?
We encourage you to join the local youth group or ask your school friends to see if their youth group is attending KYCK so you can join them. Otherwise let us know and we will see if there are any youth groups attending from your area.
What is KYCK all about?
At KYCK we take Jesus seriously, we take the Bible seriously and we take holiness of life seriously. Our hope is that as teenagers gather at KYCK, they will be impacted to follow Jesus in such a way that they look to eternity rather than wasting their lives on the temporal things of this world. At KYCK 19 the focus again will be on challenging and equipping teens from the Bible to boldly live the Christian life.
How can I get involved?
We love it when people want to get involved with KYCK! There are a few ways you can do this. You can pray. You can volunteer to help out with various parts of the weekend - e.g. as ushers, in the bookshop and serving morning tea etc.
If you're interested, head to the Volunteer page to let us know!
What is the KYCK weekend format?
The weekend is made up of a series of 6 Bible talks, interspersed with food breaks, free time and other organised activities. Please visit our Program page for more information.
Here's a snapshot of what to expect at KYCK this year!
6 life-changing Bible talks
Seminar on a youth relevant topic
Worship in song with Christian artists
Exposure to Christian organisations at the KYCK Fair
Opportunity to invite non-Christian friends to an evangelistic talk
How do we get to the convention site?
The Katoomba Christian Convention site is 110km west of Sydney at Katoomba. It is accessible by car (along the M4) or by train to Katoomba Station and a short taxi ride to the site.
The address is 119 Cliff Drive, Katoomba NSW 2780.
Can we organise our own accommodation?
Many groups like to organise their own accommodation for the weekend after they have missed out on KCC accommodation. There are plenty of houses around Katoomba where you can stay. If you're a small group and the KCC accommodation is booked out, why not partner up with another local youth group and share accommodation? It’s a great way to form new relationships and encourage each other!
Please see this list of offsite accommodation options to help!
